Last week I visited Paris Premiere Vision with Saga Furs. During my trip, I had a chance to learn more about the history of luxury fur in fashion & new environmentally friendly ways to produce luxury garments with fur and the current state of fur industry.

Like any business, fur retailing has its challenges, and some would say the challenges have never been tougher. But despite the challenges, the fur industry keeps thriving and figuring out new innovative ways to produce garments with fur.
During my time at Premiere Vision, I managed to find beautiful samples of fur mixed with other environmentally friendly natural fabrics, such as wool, cotton, silk etc. but one of the many things that really stood out for me were the stools and chairs designed by German Fur Architect Thomas Albrecht, made out of Saga Furs. Not only are they incredible comfy to sit on, but also work as a beautiful decorative element in your home or the office.

One thing that I truly adore about Saga, is that they collaborate with young designers & universities all around the world, to bring out new innovative ideas. For Premiere Vision, Saga gave a chance and a platform for a young Finnish design student named “Elina Äärelä”, to create something absolutely unique with Sagas re-sources. Elina & Saga used embroidery, crystal, flowers made from fur scraps and other materials in conjunction with Saga Furs techniques, to come up with some innovative & fresh ideas seen down below.

I’d like to finish this post, by saying that I do believe everyone has the freedom to be pro-fur or anti-fur, as long as you’re willing to hear out both sides. To learn more about Saga Furs Certifications & Fur, please check out the links down below.

Ever since I got heavily into fashion, it has been my dream to visit all the exciting fashion week events, shows, but out of all different exhibits, Pitti Uomo has been the most exciting one. This January I finally had to go, because Finland was the guest nation of Pitti Uomo 93.

If you dont know what Pitti Uomo is - Pitti Immagine is an Italian company devoted to promoting the fashion industry worldwide. From the top down, its motivated staff fully believes in the concept of the modern trade fair as an event that is in a constant stage of renewal and development

The Pitti Uomo week was probably the busiest, yet one of the most exciting weeks of my short life. During the 3 days, I had 27 different meetings / events that I visited to (and much more invites that I sadly couldn’t attend to)
During this week I managed to make so many contacts, meet people that I’ve worked with ages and create new partnerships and friendships from people located all around the world. I met several people who tend to visit at Pitti Uomo every time it’s hosted in Firenze and has been going there for the past +8 years.

If I’d have to compare Pitti Uomo, to other menswear fashion events I’ve been to, I think Pitti Uomo is more about buying, rather than the fashion and It works very well as that kind of concept. It’s a perfect place for brands & people working in the industry to go in and connect, but I’d personally rather visit a London Fashion Week as an example because I find fashion more interesting and inspiring.
I managed to visit all of the shows and my favorite ones were definetly the Undercover and the Magliano ones.

Undercover Show was definetly one of the shows I was the most excited to visit. The whole show was absolutely amazing and the music was so well fitted with the theme of the show.

Magliano Pitti Italics show, absolutely loved this one and the vibes of the show & the collection.

The Bluemint SS17 collection takes its main inspiration from the wild and colourful fauna of the tropical islands.
Inspired by the sea, sun and sandy beaches, the colour palette of this season varies from traditional Caribbean blues and bayou green, fire red and dusty sand tones.

What should a man wear when it is no longer cold, but not yet warm? For those of us who has suffered an cold, ugly, dark winter and looking forward to the onset of blossom, lambs and cleaning, this comes as particularly timely advice. But, even in March, the weather remains highly unpredictable, flitting between bouts of sunshine and bursts of rain at what seems like a moment’s notice.

Refined Casual
From casual, to the most important moments of your life aka date nights - there are occasions when you want to make a smart impression without looking too dressy.

Whether you’re a guy or a girl, you’re most likely obsessed with shoes and whenever you’re planning up a new outfit shoes seem to be the most important part, right? Because they’re, multiple studies show that clean and good looking tend to improve the first impression of you.
I get multiple questions on daily basis about shoes, so here’s an list which shoes I’ll be rocking during this SS17. This list features shoes from loafers to sneakers, from sneakers to dress shoes and of course like always, they’re all from the finest brands and manufactuers all around the world.
